What I’m Working on, December 2013:
December has been a topsy-turvy month for me. I spent a two week trial period working for an artist in Dallas, which unfortunately didn’t lead to continued employment. I can’t show the work I was making there, so here is a sketch I made on Good Latimer St. looking toward the Deep Ellum train station. Below it is a workspace shot I took a while back.
Right now I’m mostly trying to survive the holidays and looking forward to 2014, hoping as always to relocate and find a new scene.
New WIWO from the QDC. I’ve been trying to get out of Cowtown for nineteen months now. Dallas wasn’t my big break like I was hoping, but it’s time to get serious about this. New Year’s goal is to get the hell out of here.
Super List Saturday, February 16, 2013: 11 Indispensable Items in My Studio.
Half the time when I make an SLS I can’t keep track of all the list items and I have to change the number in Photoshop because I counted wrong. I was really proud of myself for counting right this week, but then I had to correct the word “Indispensable” … twice.
